Adham Al Madhoun
Artist & Muralist, Gaza
When I close my eyes I can still smell my father's paints in the kitchen, hear him weaving on his loom. I was raised as an Artist. My life has been and always will be art. Even when my home and studio are turned to rubble, the artist rises from the dust.

With limited tools and materials an artist seeks what they can utilities from the world around them. My instinct was to seek safety, access water and food, then to create. It's how I have dealt with things I would never of imagined.
My first project was Pulse Of The Rubble. At that time I had access to spray paint and created templates to support and help improve moral in the community. They became focal points with people taking photos next to the artwork.
During the first famine we were wholly reliant on World Food Programme aid boxes. This was my only source of canvas to document what I had been witnessing.
I am currently working on a project - 100 Postcards From Gaza. This is my witness account on daily life in Gaza.

Support An Artist
To support my continuing art work in documenting my witness account in Gaza, to continue providing community outreach events in Gaza, to help me provide food for family and cover ground rent.
I have created an opportunity for each of my Postcards from Gaza to be sponsored for £50. You will receive an electronic copy of the postcard. Your name will be displayed next to the Postcard at exhibitions and in any future publication of the postcards.
Visit my instagram for my go fund me link. Send a screen shot of the donation and of the postcard you choose.
I will be looking for fundraising opportunities in the near future to support me to study Masters in UK and collaborate with local Cornish artists. Please get in touch if you have any ideas which may support me in achieving this dream. Thank you, Adham.
